Very necessary to read this if you suffer from pride and conceit (like probably most of us) or if just unaware of the spiritual realm and how we interact with it. Most important is the dangers that needed to be avoided, which could occur with Monks or Laypersons alike.
Highly recommended as every book from Saint Ignatius.
